Drawing from a live model is the perfect discipline to keep an artist's skills finely tuned.
I make every effort to attend the Tuesday evenings in Canmore when a group of artists 
assembles to work from a hired model.

The portraits of Selma Palmer were presented to her sons.

then, I manipulate his features

and develop them to a likeness.

Next, I refine the background

and finally, the finished portrait.
